A Location That Connects Shibuya, Daikanyama, and Ebisu on Foot

HOTEL GRAPHY Shibuya" is a 7-minute walk from the New South Exit of Shibuya Station. Shibuya is undergoing redevelopment, Daikanyama is a quiet residential area and lined with stores, and Ebisu has an abundance of restaurants. The location allows you to walk between these three areas.
The building stands on the former elevated railway site of the Tokyu Toyoko Line. From its opening in 1927 until it was moved underground in 2013, the railway ran above the streets for nearly 90 years. The traces of this history are incorporated into the architecture. The structure follows the sharp curve that once characterized the railway line. Curved lighting on the lobby ceiling, as well as maps of the line and historical station photographs displayed inside the building, make this history visible. Knowing this background subtly changes how the surrounding streets are perceived. Walking along what was once railway track becomes part of the hotel’s stay experience.

The building exterior is designed along the sharp curve of the former Tokyu Toyoko Line, reflecting the path where the railway once ran.

Lobby ceiling lights are arranged to trace the sharp curve of the railroad tracks. The curved light drops the track of the Toyoko Line into the space.

Corridors on each floor also display maps of the railway line as it was when it opened in 1927, along with photographs of the areas surrounding the stations.

The original aroma is designed to evoke a journey through time and space, resonating with the historical context of the former Tokyu Line. Enjoy the scent by spraying the aroma onto your card key case. At the entrance, use “Oji - The Past”. For gifts, we offer a fragrance spray (10mL / ¥3,000).

Original graphic T-shirts (3,000 yen) and long-sleeve T-shirts (5,500 yen), created as souvenir items inspired by the hotel’s worldview.

Shared Spaces and Interaction with the Local Community

On the seventh floor, there is a guest-only lounge equipped with a billiards table and a terrace, offering complimentary drinks 24 hours a day. Some guests relax there after check-in, while others use it as a space to meet fellow travelers—sometimes even heading out into the city together after connecting in the lounge. At the first-floor restaurant, a complimentary beer service for guests is offered daily from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Irregularly held events also bring hotel guests and local visitors together around the same table.
At the front desk, staff introduce nearby local spots such as sento (public bathhouses), izakaya (Japanese pubs), and record shops. Rather than simply touring major attractions, guests are given opportunities to discover the everyday side of Shibuya.

A Local Restaurant Open from Morning to Night

On the first floor is the bar and restaurant “Graphic Grill & Bar,” which is open to both guests and non-guests. For breakfast, it offers menus featuring locally sourced vegetables and bread selections. The concept blends a classic American breakfast with elements of Shibuya, known as a trendsetting district. In the evening, the space operates as a bar, serving cocktails such as the rum-based “Elegant Mai Tai.” While it functions as an in-hotel restaurant for guests, it is also frequented by local residents, allowing visitors to experience Shibuya’s everyday atmosphere.

Four Types of Guest Rooms to Suit Different Stay Styles

There are 74 guest rooms in total, of which dormitory type and three types of private rooms are available. The most reasonable dormitory type consists of upper and lower bunk beds, and each bed is equipped with a curtain, reading light, and electrical outlet. Lockers with locks are also provided. Shared facilities such as showers, toilets, and sinks are located on each floor from the 2nd to 5th floor, and are suitable for those who want to enjoy socializing like in a hostel and keep accommodation costs low.
Private rooms are divided into two categories. The “Double Room” offers a private bedroom while bathrooms are shared—an intermediate option for those who want privacy at a more affordable rate. Meanwhile, the “Superior Double Room” and “Superior Small Double Room” are fully private rooms equipped with en-suite unit bathrooms. These are suited to guests who wish to relax in their room after sightseeing or prefer a more hotel-like stay. The room selection accommodates those who want the freedom of a hostel, those who prioritize hotel comfort, and those who prefer something in between.

Dormitory rooms are available in mixed-gender and women-only types. Bunk beds are equipped with curtains, reading lights, and power outlets.
