From apparel and sleeping bags to duvets, the store offers everything the brand creates. Factory Inspired Industrial Interior

When you step into "NANGA SHOP HARAJUKU," the first thing that catches your eye is its factory-inspired industrial design. The concept reflects NANGA’s beginnings as a futon manufacturer: bare fluorescent lights illuminate the space, while sleeping bags are intentionally displayed above the fixtures to create a “factory like” atmosphere. Even in Harajuku—the heart of Tokyo’s fashion scene—the store preserves a sense of craftsmanship that conveys the brand’s roots.

Wooden and stainless-steel fixtures bring an industrial feel, while built-in LED lighting ensures every item is clearly visible.

Sleeping bags are stored visibly above the fixtures, emphasizing the factory-inspired design.

A Full Lineup Centered on Japanese-Made Down

As the brand’s flagship location, the Harajuku store carries the complete range—from apparel and sleeping bags to duvets, the brand’s origin product. Among them, the high-end Japanese-made down items represent the pride of NANGA. Through intricate internal construction and advanced three-dimensional stitching, these garments achieve a snug fit and outstanding heat retention. During the winter season, more than 50 types of down wear are available, allowing customers to compare every item by hand.

The -5°C “Cold Fitting Room” Experience

The biggest attraction at "NANGA SHOP HARAJUKU" is the “-5°C Cold Fitting Room.” Because down jackets and sleeping bags are designed for cold environments, NANGA built an in-store freezer container where visitors can test products in realistic conditions. “We want customers to feel the true performance of our products in the temperatures they’re made for,” says a store staff member. Inside the -5°C room, you can test the warmth and fit of sleeping bags or down jackets designed for expeditions such as Alpine climbs or base camps. If the store isn’t crowded, you can take as much time as you like to experience the chill—another reason for its popularity.
