An Immersive Shop Where You Can Become Part of the World of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure
Serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1987, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure by Hirohiko Araki has evolved into a long-running masterpiece spanning Part 1 through Part 9. At THE★JOJO WORLD in Shibuya, visitors can feel as though they’ve stepped directly into that extraordinary universe. Beyond merchandise, the space brings together attractions, mini-games, themed food, video installations, and interactive tricks—allowing guests to fully experience the world of JoJo. With its artistically arranged interior, where countless goods are displayed almost like works of art, this is a place designed to excite all five senses.
Created by Hirohiko Araki—one of the driving forces behind Japan’s manga and anime culture—JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure has captivated readers for decades with its generational storyline, striking character poses, expressive onomatopoeia, and intricately detailed illustrations reminiscent of fine art. The series has not only shaped Japanese pop culture but also played a pivotal role in cementing the global popularity of manga and anime.
Located on the 6th floor of CYBERSPACE SHIBUYA inside Shibuya PARCO, THE★JOJO WORLD allows fans to see, play, eat, and experience JoJo’s world. Its concept is simple yet powerful: “a shop where you can enjoy the feeling of stepping into the JoJo universe.” Originally a limited-time experiential event held both in Japan and abroad, it opened in July 2025 as a permanent official shop combining merchandise, attractions, mini-games, and a café.
A photo spot featuring newly drawn illustrations of all nine JoJo protagonists. The monument shaped like the word “JOJO” functions as a monitor that displays artwork from Parts 1 through 9 in sequence.
Characters from the existing anime appear on screen, along with characters from Part 7, which has been officially confirmed for an anime adaptation.
Hirohiko Araki himself was deeply involved in the creation of the store. He produced the first-ever illustration depicting all nine protagonists together, and the store’s pink-and-blue motif—described by Araki-sensei as a “special palette he uses at decisive moments”—sets the tone for the entire space.
Step inside and you’re instantly immersed in the JoJo world. The interior features slightly unusual elevation shifts and corridor-like pathways, with hidden surprises tucked away throughout.
A handwritten autograph by Hirohiko Araki can also be found inside.
“THE★JOJO WORLD” is packed with hidden tricks and interactive elements that allow visitors to experience the JoJo universe from every angle. Items iconic to the series are displayed throughout the space, and “Stands”—the visual manifestations of a user’s supernatural abilities—are tucked away on shelves, overhead, and in unexpected corners. There is even a photo spot where hidden visuals appear on the ceiling when photographed with a flash. With so much to explore, it’s impossible to discover everything in a single visit. And if your timing is right, you may also witness a random projection of iconic battle scenes animating the ceiling above you.
The first thing you’ll notice is the Stand Arrow displayed at the entrance. In the world of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, a Stand is the visual manifestation of its user’s supernatural abilities—taking forms that can resemble a human, a plant, or something entirely different. Those who possess a Stand are known as Stand Users, and being pierced by the Stand Arrow is what awakens their latent abilities. Touching the Stand Arrow at the entrance is your very first step into the JoJo universe.
The “Stand Arrow” at the entrance is a must-touch item before entering. In the series, those pierced by this mystical arrow awaken as Stand Users, gaining extraordinary supernatural abilities.
In addition to hidden tricks, visitors can enjoy interactive attractions. One of the most popular experiences is the “Stand Power Laboratory,” where guests can discover which of approximately 120 Stands most closely matches their own traits. The attraction measures six categories—Power, Speed, Precision, Range, Growth Potential, and Durability—through physical movement and simple challenges. The system then determines which Stand is closest to your results, allowing visitors to feel even more immersed in the JoJo experience.
Inside the shop, you’ll also find two mini-games inspired by memorable scenes from the series. One is “The Return of MEMETAA! Ripple Roulette: Ripple Energy Is the True ‘Sendō’ Power!!”, based on the scene in which Will A. Zeppeli demonstrates his Ripple energy to Jonathan Joestar by striking a frog sitting atop a rock. The other is “Aim for a Home Run! Oh! That’s a Baseball!!,” which recreates the baseball showdown between Jotaro Kujo and Telence T. D’Arby. Both offer exclusive original prizes.
In “The Return of MEMETAA! Ripple Roulette” (600yen per play), punch toward the frog to reveal the A–C prize results. Prizes include multi-cloths, acrylic boards, and holographic badges. Because Hirohiko Araki himself played this game during the opening ceremony, fans affectionately refer to it as a “sacred spot.”
“Aim for a Home Run! Oh! That’s a Baseball!!” is a simple mini-game where pressing a button determines whether you win an A, B, or C prize. Prizes include keychains, drawstring pouches, and square badges.
In addition to merchandise and attractions, the adjoining Iggy Café serves food and drinks inspired by the series’ characters and memorable scenes.
The most popular item among international visitors is the “THE★JOJO WORLD Original Drink” (900yen), a refreshing pink-lemonade-based drink with pineapple juice and smooth blue jelly. Another fan favorite is “Mochi-Mochi Mocchi (S.P.)” (690 yen each), a sweet treat inspired by the Stand “Sex Pistols,” available in milk cream (Nos. 1–3) or caramel (Nos. 5–7). These treats are perfect for sharing and ideal for photos.
Other unique menu items include the “Katsu Sandwich” (1,350yen), served with a paper bag from the bakery “Saint-Germain,” and “Tonio’s Special Pudding” (950yen), inspired by dishes crafted by the Italian chef Tonio Trussardi in the series. With such an extensive menu to choose from, you’ll want to come back again and again.
The charming tile-patterned café is takeout-only, but high tables in front allow guests to enjoy their food. Authentic Italian gelato (990yen and up) is also popular.
The “THE★JOJO WORLD Original Drink” (900yen) features pink lemonade with pineapple juice and blue jelly. “Mochi-Mochi Mocchi (S.P.)” (690yen each) comes in two types: Nos. 1–3 (milk cream) and Nos. 5–7 (caramel).
For 1,300yen, you can upgrade to a soft drink served in an aluminum cup featuring Iggy—a perfect souvenir.
All items sold here are exclusive to this shop. While acrylic stands and keychains are popular, the top-selling items are posters and art panels that showcase the artistic beauty of JoJo.
Goods from past JOJO WORLD events are also available, offering a welcome chance for fans who missed previous releases.
The merchandise's artistic layout makes the store feel like a museum.
