"WISE OWL HOSTELS SHIBUYA" is an urban-style hostel that opened in April 2017. Located just outside Shibuya's bustling entertainment district, it offers convenient access to clubs, live music venues, and music bars, all within walking distance. It's an ideal location for travelers who plan to stay out late. The concept of the hostel is “Not just sleep, but deep rest after truly playing hard.” It’s a place where guests can enjoy both excitement and relaxation during their stay.
A quiet location just 8 minutes on foot from Shinsen Station (Keio Inokashira Line), also accessible from Shibuya Station.
The logo is designed using the initials “W・O・H” from "WISE OWL HOSTELS."

The hotel's name, "OWL (Owl)" is a symbol of nocturnal activity. The symbolic "Meg, the second landlady," a wooden carving placed in the lobby, welcomes guests.
The lobby and dining space on the first floor hosts a happy hour every day from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., creating a welcoming atmosphere where guests can easily strike up conversations over drinks. In some cases, guests who meet during happy hour end up heading out together to enjoy Shibuya’s nightlife. The hostel also occasionally holds events organized by staff, which serve as great opportunities for guests to meet and interact.

The first-floor lobby eating and drinking area is also open as "Soba-Toku Owl" during lunchtime. While being a lodging facility, it also plays the role of a "town cafeteria," providing a place where locals and travelers can mingle naturally. The menu features authentic soba noodles made with dashi broth carefully prepared from bonito, mackerel, and kelp. Kakiage Soba," "Garland Chrysanthemum Soba," and "Curry Soba" are popular among foreign tourists.

On this trip, I visited Tokyo with my daughter. We chose to stay here because it is located in the cultural center of Shibuya. Using the hostel as a base, we took pictures of trains, vending machines on street corners, and other non-touristy scenes of Tokyo.
