Founded in 1967 by jazz critic Masahiro Goto, Eagle is a renowned jazz kissa celebrated for its extensive musical knowledge and distinctive selections. The kissaten houses an impressive collection of approximately 4,000 vinyl records and 7,000 CDs. Its playlists, featuring over 500 carefully chosen tracks, rotate every two hours, ensuring a fresh musical experience with each visit.The selections range from classic jazz to contemporary recordings, and to maintain an optimal listening environment, conversation is not allowed until 6:00 PM.

A Cozy Wooden Space Designed for Optimal Sound

Every detail of the kissaten’s interior is carefully designed to enhance sound quality. To prevent flutter echoes, the walls are intentionally arranged at non-parallel angles, allowing for a naturally balanced acoustics. The café features JBL "4344MkⅡ" speakers, delivering an authentic and immersive jazz experience.

The desire to make a jazz cafe that anyone can enjoy

Eagle was founded with the idea that even those new to jazz should feel welcome. Guests can casually enjoy jazz while working or dining in a relaxed atmosphere. The kissaten also offers original merchandise, including T-shirts and tote bags.During lunchtime, set meals are available, and after 6:00 PM, the space transitions into a jazz bar, allowing visitors to experience jazz in their preferred style.

Located just a minute’s walk from Yotsuya Station, the café is easy to find. A distinctive trumpet-shaped sign marks the entrance, and descending a spiral staircase adorned with jazz posters leads to the kissaten. With its hidden gem-like atmosphere, each visit offers a sense of discovery and excitement.
