A Club Centered Around Its DJ Booth
A small-scale club with a center booth—still a rarity in Japan. Regular parties primarily feature dance music curated by up-and-coming artists and organizers. The compact layout ensures immersive sound from any spot on the floor and fosters a unique sense of unity.
Shibuya was once home to two iconic clubs: "Sound Museum Vision" and "Contact." With capacities of 800 to 1,000 people, they played leading roles in Tokyo’s club scene. However, both closed due to building demolitions tied to redevelopment near Shibuya Station. In their place, "ENTER" opened in 2022. With room for about 130 guests, the club offers a platform for emerging artists and organizers to take the stage. It serves as a creative hub for Tokyo's youth culture.
Regular events include "LIVING ROOM™" by DJ Quietstorm, the hard techno party "VIXLATION" hosted by "EVE," "FOCUS" led by "SHANNON BROTHERS" (RICKEY SHANNON and LOUIS SHANNON), and "KILIMANJARO" by "STACK" and "Tai Okuno." These parties focus on dance music, each with a distinct vibe. Popular occasional events include "UTAGE," co-hosted by "FULLHOUSE" member SAMO and the Japanese streetwear brand "supplier." Each party draws a unique crowd and musical style, making them all distinctly Tokyo.
"LIVING ROOM™" is a long-running and popular party that has been held in various venues such as Shibuya and Daikanyama. On this 11th anniversary night, the energy was high from early evening.
What strikes first-time visitors most is the outstanding sound quality. The club uses the same high-performance sound system as the aforementioned major venues. What enhances the acoustics most is the layout, with the DJ booth placed in the center of the dance floor in a "Boiler Room" style surrounded by the audience. This allows balanced, high-quality sound to be experienced from any location in the room.
The sound system is made by Rey Audio, a Japanese brand known internationally. Its professional studio monitors are widely used in recording studios, TV stations, and radio stations around the world.
Once you pay the entrance fee at ENTER, you can freely move between it and its sister venues for the rest of the night. If there is a price difference among venues, just pay the difference. Participating venues include DJ Bar & Lounge WREP, DJ Bar Bridge Shibuya, and DJ Bar Bridge Shinjuku. Information boards are posted in each venue.
ENTER offers a unique pass system with its sister venues, letting you experience and compare four different venues in a single night—each with its own style, music, and crowd. If you want to explore Tokyo's youth culture, check out ENTER's event schedule.
