"One up." offers a rich selection of art sofubi crafted by a diverse range of talented creators. In addition to carefully curated pieces from various artists, the store also produces its own original sofubi, maintaining an inventory of over 3,000 items at all times. Among them, Japanese-made sofubi stand out for their exquisite hand-painted details and unique finishing techniques, a testament to the craftsmanship of skilled artisans. Among the original sofubi figures at "One up.", the Original Kaiju Series is particularly popular, drawing many fans to the store. Notably, the "Gotouchi Kaiju" series—featuring regional specialties like natto (fermented soybeans), udon, and wasabi—has garnered strong interest from international collectors. Additionally, the store offers an impressive selection of exclusive collaboration items with renowned YouTubers, illustrators, and other creative artists.
The "Gotouchi Kaiju" series showcases designs inspired by Japan’s regional specialties, including udon, wasabi, and natto (fermented soybeans). With their distinctive and imaginative designs, these figures have become popular among collectors both in Japan and abroad.
The "OMI Borg" is a collaborative sofubi figure designed in partnership with "Pikopiko," "OMI," and "One up," and painted by the renowned Japanese color artist BLObPUS. This piece is particularly striking for its bold colors and intricate detailing, making it a true standout.
Another standout is "Gizara," a kaiju figure co-created by sculptor gumtaro and One up. The painting was done by Goto, a highly esteemed master in sofubi coloring, ensuring a meticulously detailed finish.
The store has many cute looking soft vinyl and capsule toys, and a wide variety of "Medicom Toy" VAG series for women, children, and others. Occasionally, limited editions of "One Up." collaborations are released! Since capsule toys are developed in collaboration with various soft vinyl artists, many fans collect each series.
The VAG (Vinyl Artist Gacha) series by MEDICOM TOY has gained widespread popularity both in Japan and internationally, thanks to its collaborations with various artists.
A special mini sofubi collaboration with Toshihiko Tahara is available, featuring designs inspired by his beloved pet.
At "One up.", some sofubi figures are assembled and sold right in the store. While this process is typically done in factories, here, the parts are individually shipped and meticulously put together by the staff. The assembly requires a specialized technique—heating the parts to soften them before fitting them together—making it a surprisingly intricate and skill-intensive process.
Each figure is carefully hand-assembled, piece by piece, from a large number of parts delivered from the factory.
