A running station near Tokyo Station that supports empty-handed use

Located just a 3-minute walk from Tokyo Station, “ASICS RUN TOKYO MARUNOUCHI” is a comprehensive running station attached to an ASICS directly operated store.
It offers excellent access not only for the popular “Imperial Palace run” around the palace grounds, but also as a base for runs that take in sightseeing spots within a 10 km radius, such as Asakusa and Tokyo Skytree. Designed so that visitors can stop by easily before or after work or in between sightseeing, the facility allows users to access lockers and showers with the facility fee alone, and amenities such as shampoo are also provided. The women’s shower booths are even equipped with shower heads by the beauty brand “ReFa,” creating a comfortable environment.

The spacious interior has an open layout, allowing visitors to browse the products at ease.

What makes the facility even more appealing is that visitors can also rent the latest shoes and apparel. Shoes are available by performance type, such as “SPEED,” “BOUNCE,” “STABILITY,” and “CUSHION,” allowing runners to choose according to their ability and purpose. Running essentials can be rented from ¥330 per item. The extensive lineup includes not only apparel and towels, but also smaller items such as waist pouches and bottle pouches, making it ideal for running while traveling.

In addition, notable models such as the “METASPEED TOKYO Series,” designed for top athletes, are also available as limited-time rentals (¥1,100), making them a great option for people considering a purchase and wanting to test them in real running conditions.

Information on the shoes can be checked on the in-store terminal.

The shoe shelves indicate suggested pace ranges, making it easy to choose according to your goal and running ability.

There is also a full selection of apparel for both men and women.

An on-site lab where you can measure your form and endurance

Going beyond the scope of an ordinary running station, the facility also includes “ASICS RUNNING LAB,” which provides specialized testing originally conducted for top athletes to general runners. Here, cameras from four directions are used to precisely analyze individual tendencies in running form. In addition, everything from physical measurements such as foot shape and body composition to dynamic measurements of the leg strength that generates propulsion is analyzed and assessed in detail. It is a must-see service not only for runners aiming to improve their times, but also for those who want to prevent injuries or understand the training load that suits them best.

In addition, whole-body endurance is measured using respiratory metabolism testing. Based on data evaluated using an indicator called the “AT value,” which measures aerobic capacity, the lab scientifically visualizes the appropriate training intensity that represents the “just right” load—neither too much nor too little—and offers advice accordingly. This makes it an invaluable service not only for serious runners aiming to improve their times, but also for people looking to prevent injuries or maintain their health, as it allows them to objectively understand their own abilities.

Form analysis only: ¥5,090; AT test (first time): ¥13,200; AT test (second time onward): ¥8,150; AT test + form analysis (first time): ¥18,290; AT test + form analysis (full testing / for those with prior AT test experience): ¥13,240

A concierge service where you can consult specialist staff

For those seeking more personalized support, the reservation-based “ASICS CONCIERGE SERVICE” (¥3,300) is also recommended. After arrival, measurements are taken of foot length, foot circumference, arch condition, and center-of-gravity tendencies, and fitting and advice are then provided based on the results. In a private space furnished with a sustainable sofa made by reusing shoes that were originally destined for disposal, a running specialist provides one-on-one support.

Specialist staff provide careful advice. You can consult them about everything from choosing shoes to training concerns.

After arrival, the latest measuring equipment is used to accurately assess everything from foot length, foot circumference, and arch condition to center-of-gravity tendencies. They also check landing tendencies using a tablet device. Based on this data, visitors can receive comprehensive counseling, including total coordination proposals that cover not only shoes but also apparel, as well as training advice tailored to their goals. With professional service that responds closely to each individual, you can find the gear that suits you best.

The latest measuring equipment can accurately check foot shape and pressure distribution in about 20 seconds.

It also visualizes center-of-gravity tendencies and left-right differences.

Based on the results, you can receive one-on-one shoe recommendations and fittings.
